Many discovered Bob Marley, Culture, Misty, Steel Pulse, Dr Alimantado, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Scientist, and The Mad Professor through John, not forgetting Linton Kwesi Johnson, Benjamin Zephaniah, the late Michael Smith and so many more.
